![]() Erica McGuinness with Team Canada A 1/2 guard that shows none of the inconsistency of many promising college players, Erica's fundamentally sound, yet often frighteningly methodical game elevates her team beyond their natural potential when it matters most, and crushes the spirit of even the most confident opponents. Her game often seems unnaturally calm in the often emotional fray of college basketball, although the careful observer will note just how hard she works at both ends of the floor and clearly also in practice to develop a shot and a game IQ as keen as hers. Erica is a very versatile player who can play both the 1 and 2 guard positions. A Captain and leading scorer of Team Canada at the 2007 Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand. A multi-dimensional player with outstanding 3-point range accuracy combined with the ability to attack off the dribble, who is also adept at playing with her back to the basket. She is a consistent performer who always seems to rise to the occasion when the game is on the line.
